INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING (for CrewMax): INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Specifications).

1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Place the roof headlining into the cabin as shown in the illustration.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when placing it in the cabin.

(b) w/o Sliding Roof:
Install the roof headlining.
(1) Attach the 4 clips to install the roof headlining.

(c) w/ Sliding Roof:
Install the roof headlining.
(1) Attach the 4 clips and 12 fasteners to install the roof headlining.

(d) Connect the roof wire connector and attach each clamp.

(e) w/ EC Mirror:
(1) Connect the EC mirror connector.

(2) Attach the 2 claws to install the inner rear view mirror cover.

2. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP PLUG
(a) Install a new assist grip plug.

3. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT: Use the same procedure for the other 2 assist grips.

(a) Install the 2 clips and 2 covers to the assist grip, as shown in the illustration.
(b) Install the assist grip.

4. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER (w/o Illumination)
HINT: Use the same procedure to install the visor holder on the other side.

(a) Install the visor holder with the screw.
5. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) w/o Illumination:
Install the visor.
(1) Install the visor with the 3 screws.

(b) w/ Illumination:
Install the visor.
(1) Connect the connector.
(2) Install the visor with the 4 screws.
6. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

7. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the visor bracket cover.
8. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

9. INSTALL ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System:
Install the room light.
(1) Connect the connector.
(2) Attach the 4 clips to install the room light.
(3) Attach the 4 claws to install the lens.

(b) w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:
Install the room light.
(1) Connect the connectors.
(2) Attach the 4 clips to install the room light.
NOTE: When installing the room light, be careful not to damage the shaded areas in the illustration.

10. INSTALL ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
(a) for Short Type:
Install the roof console box.
(b) for Long Type:
Install the roof console box.

11. INSTALL REAR SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Slide the plate in the direction shown in the illustration and attach the 4 claws to install the plate.
12. INSTALL REAR SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

13. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Pass the rear seat outer belt floor anchor through the quarter trim panel.
(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the quarter trim panel.
(c) Install the 2 bolts.

(d) Attach the claw to install the cover.
14. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

15. INSTALL LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 4 clips to install the quarter trim panel.

(b) Install the outer lap belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(a) Attach the 3 clips to install the quarter trim panel.

(b) Install the outer lap belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
17. INSTALL BACK PANEL TRIM LH
(a) Attach the 8 clips to install the back panel trim.
(b) Install the package holder net hook.

18. INSTALL BACK PANEL TRIM RH
(a) Attach the 8 clips to install the back panel trim.
(b) Install the package holder net hook.

19. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Slide the plate in the direction shown in the illustration and attach the 6 claws to install the plate.
20. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

21. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish.
(b) Attach the claw to install the center pillar garnish.
(c) Install the 2 screws.
(d) Install the assist grip with the 2 bolts.
(e) Attach the 2 claws to install the 2 assist grip plugs.

22. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

23. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Attach the 7 clips and 2 claws to install the center pillar garnish.

(b) Install the outer lap belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
24. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

25. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Attach the claw to install the front pillar garnish.
(b) Install the assist grip with the 2 bolts.
(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the 2 assist grip plugs.

26. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

27. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
28. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

31. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.
(b) Install the clip.
32. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

33. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Attach the 8 claws and 2 clips to install the scuff plate.
34. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

35. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
(a) Attach the 6 claws and 3 clips to install the scuff plate.
36. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

37. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for CrewMax LH Side)
(a) Install the rear seat Installation.
38. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for CrewMax RH Side)
(a) Install the rear seat Installation.
39. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Center Seat)
(a) Install the front seat.
40. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
(a) Install the front seat.
41. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
(a) Install the front seat.
42. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Testing and Inspection).

43. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview).
