SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat):
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Repair Instruction - Initialization).
- After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE INNER FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER LH REAR
(a) Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the foremost position.
(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE OUTER FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER LH REAR
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts.
(d) Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the center position.
(e) Disconnect the seat wire connectors under the seat.
(f) Remove the front seat.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
