Lighting and Horns: Service Precautions
LIGHTING SYSTEM:
PRECAUTION
1. PRECAUTION FOR HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT
(a) When any defects such as deformation, cracks, dents, chipping, etc. are identified on the discharge headlight, replace it with a new one.
(b) Even if the operation seems to be normal, the fail-safe function may be defective.
(c) Since the bulb of the discharge headlight and halogen bulbs (for headlight or front fog light) have pressurized gas inside and can easily be broken if scratched or dropped, special care should be taken. When handling the bulb, hold the plastic or metal part and does not touch the glass part with bare hands.
(d) Never touch the high voltage socket of the discharge headlight with the light control switch in the HEAD position, as this could generate a momentary high voltage of 20000 V and lead to a serious accident.
