Applicability

TSB SUPERSESSION NOTICE

The information contained in this TSB supersedes TSB No. BR003-07.

- Applicability has been updated to include 2008 model year Tundra vehicles.

- Production Change Information has been updated with new VIN information. TSB No. BR003-07 is Obsolete and any printed versions should be discarded. Be sure to review the entire content of this service bulletin before proceeding.

Introduction

The following information is provided to supplement the Repair Manual for 2007 - 2008 model year Tundra vehicles. If the ABS, Brake, 4WD, and/or "Check Engine" light is "ON" due to DTCs U0129 and P0500, replace the brake actuator assembly. Use the following repair procedure to address customer concerns.





Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

- This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

- Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Production Change Information





This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown above.

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the brake actuator.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year Tundra Repair Manual:

- 2007 / 2008 Tundra:

Brake - Brake Control/Dynamic Control System - "Brake Control: Brake Actuator: Removal"

2. Install a NEW brake actuator.

Refer to TIS, applicable model year Tundra Repair Manual:

- 2007 / 2008 Tundra:

Brake - Brake Control/Dynamic Control System - "Brake Control: Brake Actuator: Installation"

NOTE: TIS Techstream software version 4.00.017 or later is required to perform air bleeding of the Brake Control System.
