INTRODUCTION:

Some 2007 and 2008 model year Tundra vehicles may exhibit a loss of tension of the driver's side HVAC dash vents. The loss of tension will allow the vents to "fall down" and not stay in the position set by the customer.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:







1. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.
A. Detach the 4 claws.
B. For Column Shift Type: Move the shift lever to the S position.







C. Detach the 12 clips.







D. Disconnect the connectors and clamps.
E. Remove the wire harness from the slots, and then remove the finish panel.







2. Remove both register assemblies from the finish panel assembly by releasing the 4 clips (2 on each side) and install the new parts.
3. Re-assemble in reverse order.
4. Verify vents have tension and stay in place.
