DESCRIPTION

The front power seat switch (memory seat ECU and switch) detects the door's open/closed status through the front door courtesy light switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH




(a) Remove the courtesy light switch.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MEMORY SEAT ECU - COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the front power seat switch connector and courtesy light switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
