CHECK MODE PROCEDURE

NOTE: Select "SIGNAL CHECK" from the "DTC CHECK" screen displayed on the Techstream to clear the output DTCs (both present and past).

HINT:
- DTCs can be detected more sensitively in check mode than in normal diagnosis mode.
- Perform the check mode inspection when a malfunction in each squib circuit is suspected even after the normal system code is output through normal diagnosis mode inspection.

1. CHECK MODE PROCEDURE (Using the Techstream)
(a) Check and ensure the following conditions:
(1) Battery positive voltage 11 V to 14 V.
(2) Transmission in the P or N positions.
(3) A/C switch off.
(b) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(c) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(d) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(e) Turn the Techstream on.
(f) Select the following menu items.
(1) Techstream - Select: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Check Mode
