DTC 44-43 - DVD-ROM Abnormal

DESCRIPTION





INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK IF A PROPER DVD IS INSERTED
(a) Make sure that the DVD is a video DVD or a CD with an MP3 file, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, deteriorated, or otherwise defective.
OK:
The DVD or CD is normal.
HINT: Translucent or uniquely-shaped DVDs or CDs cannot be played.

NG -- DISC IS FAULTY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHANGE DISC
(a) Replace the disc with another and recheck.
(1) Replace the disc with another normal one.
(2) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(3) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
The same trouble does not occur.
NG -- REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
OK -- END
