EXTERIOR: REAR SPOILER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
- If a rear spoiler sub-assembly is removed and installed, the location of the axis of the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) will change, causing the wiping angle to change. Be sure to remove and install the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) using the centering jig.
- After installing a rear spoiler sub-assembly, install the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type), do not open the glass hatch and the back door before installing the rear wiper link pivot.

2. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Rear Spoiler without Press Line) Installation
3. INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE (for Rear Spoiler without Press Line)

(a) Engage the claws and install the rear washer nozzle.

(b) Install the rear washer nozzle bracket with the screw.
4. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Rear Spoiler with Press Line) Installation
5. INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE (for Rear Spoiler with Press Line)

(a) Engage the claws and install the rear washer nozzle.

(b) Install the rear washer nozzle bracket with the screw.
6. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Raise and lower the glass hatch and the back door respectively. Pass the wire harness into the vehicle and temporarily install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.
(b) Engage the 2 claws.

(d) Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), fully tighten the 6 screws (B).
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(e) Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), fully tighten the 2 screws (A).
Torque: 6.5 Nm (66 kgf-cm, 58 in-lbf)
(f) Connect the wire harness.

(1) Connect the connector.
(2) Engage the grommet.

(3) Connect the rear washer hose.
(4) Connect the 2 connectors.

(5) Install the wire harness grommet to the wire harness.
(6) Engage the 4 claws and install the wire harness.

8. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Glass Type) Installation
9. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Glass Hatch Type) Installation
10. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET (for Fixed Glass Type) Installation
11. INSTALL REAR WIPER LINK PIVOT (for Glass Hatch Type) Installation
12. INSTALL REAR WIPER LINK CAP (for Glass Hatch Type) Installation
13. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Glass Type) Installation
14. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY (for Glass Hatch Type) Installation
15. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Installation
16. INSTALL REAR WIPER SHAFT COVER (for Glass Hatch Type) Installation
17. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY Reassembly
18. INSTALL ASSIST STRAP ASSEMBLY Reassembly
19. INSTALL ASSIST STRAP HOLE COVER Reassembly
20. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK COVER (for Glass Hatch Type) Reassembly
21. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER LH (w/o Power Back Door) Reassembly
22. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER LH (w/ Power Back Door) Reassembly
23. CONNECT POWER BACK DOOR ROD (w/ Power Back Door) Reassembly
24. INSTALL BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (w/ Power Back Door) Reassembly
25. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER RH Reassembly
26. INSTALL BACK WINDOW UPPER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY Reassembly
27. INSPECT REAR WASHER NOZZLE Testing and Inspection
