2GR-FE FUEL: FUEL PUMP: REASSEMBLY

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT





(a) Install the No. 1 fuel suction support to the fuel filter.
2. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to 2 new O-rings, then install them onto the fuel pressure regulator.





(b) Install the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel filter.
3. INSTALL FUEL PUMP





(a) Apply gasoline to a new O-ring and install it to the fuel filter.





(b) Engage the 5 claws on the fuel filter and install the fuel pump with the pump filter.
4. CONNECT FUEL PUMP HARNESS





(a) Connect the fuel pump harness connector.
NOTE: Do not separate the tube indicated in the illustration Service Precautions.

5. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the fuel pump filter tube while aligning it to the installation position of the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.
(b) Connect the jet pump nozzle.





(c) Make sure that the fuel tube passes under the protrusion of the fuel filter, and engage the claw of the No. 1 fuel suction support.
(d) Install the spring to the fuel suction plate shaft and install it to the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.





(e) Install a new E-ring.
6. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY





(a) Slide the fuel sender gauge to fit the claw.
(b) Connect the fuel sender gauge connector.
