Installation








2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET





(a) Install the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket.
2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET





(a) Install the 2 screws and No. 1 ECM bracket.
3. INSTALL ECM





(a) Install the 2 nuts, bolt and ECM.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
(b) Install the wire harness clamp.
(c) Connect the 5 ECM connectors.
(d) Install the harness connector.
4. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU Installation
5. INSTALL CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (w/ Smart Key System) Installation
6. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
8. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side Installation.

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side Installation.

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

11. RESISTER TRANSMITTER ID
NOTE: If the tire pressure warning ECU is replaced, resister the transmitter ID Registration.

12. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
NOTE: If the tire pressure warning ECU is replaced, inspect the tire pressure warning system Test Mode Procedure.

13. INITIALIZE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
NOTICE:
- Be sure to register the transmitter IDs of all tires in the ECU before initialization.
- Be sure to inflate all tires to the proper inflation pressure before initialization.

14. REGISTER IMMOBILISER COMMUNICATION ID
NOTE: If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID for the immobiliser system Engine Immobiliser System (W/ Smart Key System) w/ Smart Key System, Engine Immobiliser System (W/O Smart Key System) w/o Smart Key System).

15. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
NOTE: If the ECM is replaced, perform RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) .
