Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. DTC CHECK
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Occupant Detection / Trouble Code
(e) Check the DTCs by following the prompts on the Techstream screen.
HINT: Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

2. DTC CLEAR
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Occupant Detection / Trouble Code
(e) Clear the DTCs by following the prompts on the Techstream screen.
