DTC 43 - ABS Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the VSC system detects a malfunction in the ABS control system.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK ABS CONTROL SYSTEM
(a) Clear the DTC Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Check if the relating to ABS control system DTC is recorded Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).

Result





B -- REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC
A -- Continue to next step.

2. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Clear the DTC Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).
(c) Start the engine.
(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of approximately 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 60 seconds or more.
(e) Check if the same DTC is recorded Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).

B -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
A -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)
