TIRE AND WHEEL: TIRE PRESSURE WARNING VALVE AND TRANSMITTER: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT TIRE
2. REMOVE REAR TIRE
3. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING VALVE AND TRANSMITTER
(a) Remove the valve cap and core, and release air from the tire.
(b) After ensuring that a sufficient amount of air is released, remove the nut and washer that are used to fix the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter in place, and then drop the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter inside the tire.
HINT: Keep the removed cap, valve core, nut and washer.
(c) Disengage the bead using the shoe of the tire remover.
NOTICE: Be careful as the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter may become damaged due to interference between the sensor and tire bead.
(d) Remove the bead on the upper side.
(e) Take out the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter from the tire and remove the bead on the lower side.
(f) If planning to reuse the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter, remove the grommet from it.
NOTICE: Remove the grommet even if it is not damaged.
