2GR-FE STARTING: ENGINE SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag deployment and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization

2. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Key System) Removal

3. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System) Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System) Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) Removal

9. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (w/o Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

11. REMOVE LOWER REAR CONSOLE BOX Removal

12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT Removal

15. REMOVE ENGINE SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the switch connector.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the switch.
