U151E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU (w/ Smart Key System)

(a) Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard resistance:





2. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU (w/o Smart Key System)

(a) Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard resistance:





(d) Connect the shift lock control ECU connector.





(e) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Do not disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.

Standard voltage:





3. INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

(a) Disconnect the transmission control switch connector from the shift lock control unit assembly.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard resistance:





(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below when the shift lever is moved to each position.





Standard resistance:





(e) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control unit.

4. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID

(a) Disconnect the shift lock solenoid connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below when the shift lever is moved to each position.





Standard resistance:





(c) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control unit.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





(e) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control unit.
