DESCRIPTION
* Upon receiving signals from the switches, the main body ECU illuminates the lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses and bulbs for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Turn the room lights switch to the DOOR position.
(e) Make sure all doors are closed (courtesy light switches OFF).
(f) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
(g) According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.
Main Body
OK:
The illuminated entry system operates normally when operating it through the Techstream.

2. INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER (IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT)
(a) Inspect the transponder key amplifier Testing and Inspection.
NG -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER (IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the E72 transponder key amplifier connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

(c) Reconnect the transponder key amplifier connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the E72 transponder key amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the 1K main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the transponder key amplifier connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
5. INSPECT ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Inspect the room light assembly Testing and Inspection.
NG -- REPLACE ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the R2 room light assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Reconnect the room light assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the R2 room light assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the 1A main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the room light assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
8. INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Inspect the rear room light assembly Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
NG -- REPLACE REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the R3 rear room light assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

(c) Reconnect the rear room light assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the R3 rear room light assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the 1A main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
(e) Reconnect the rear room light assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
