Installation

AXLE: FRONT AXLE HUB: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY

2. INSTALL FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM





(a) Install a nut and a new clip.

Torque : 110 Nm (1122 kgf-cm, 81 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ATTACHMENT

4. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB NUT (for 4WD)

7. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING Axle System

8. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB GREASE CAP (for 4WD)

(a) Install a front axle hub grease cap.

9. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR

10. INSTALL FRONT DISC Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front disc brake caliper assembly with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 123 Nm (1254 kgf-cm, 91 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the brake tube bracket onto the steering knuckle with the bolt.





Torque : 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)

(c) Using a union nut wrench, install the brake tube onto the front disc brake caliper assembly.

without union nut wrench - Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

with union nut wrench - Torque : 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* This torque value can be obtained by using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.) and a union nut wrench with a fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.866 in.) Service Precautions.
* This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.

12. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 112 Nm (1137 kgf-cm, 82 ft-lbf)

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)

14. BLEED BRAKE LINE Procedures

15. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL

16. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
