C1279
BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1232, C1243, C1245, C1279: Acceleration Sensor Stuck Malfunction
C1279 - Acceleration Sensor Output Voltage Malfunction (Test Mode DTC)
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU receives signals from the yaw rate sensor and deceleration sensor via the CAN communication system.
The yaw rate sensor has a built-in deceleration sensor and detects the vehicle's condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).
If there is trouble in the bus lines between the yaw rate sensor and deceleration sensor and the CAN communication system, DTC U0123 (yaw rate sensor communication trouble) and U0124 (deceleration sensor communication trouble) are output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* When replacing the yaw rate and deceleration sensor, perform zero point calibration Calibration.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
HINT
When U0073, U0123, U0124 or U0126 are output together with C1232 or C1234, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0073, U0123, U0124 or U0126 first.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Check if DTCs U0073, U0123, C1210 and/or C1336 are output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
