B1693/81 - Door Side Airbag Sensor RH Initialization Incomplete - Continued
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Return the side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) and side airbag sensor RH (for rear side) to their original positions and connect the connectors.
(d) Interchange the rear airbag sensor LH with the rear airbag sensor RH and connect the connectors to them.
(e) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(f) Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(g) Clear the DTCs stored in the memory Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(h) Turn the ignition switch off.
(i) Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(j) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

31. CHECK CONNECTORS
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the side airbag sensor RH (for rear side), rear airbag sensor RH and side airbag sensor RH (for front side). Also check that the connectors that link the floor wire and front door wire RH are properly connected.
OK:
The connectors are properly connected.
HINT
If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
(d) Disconnect the connectors from the side airbag sensor RH (for rear side), rear airbag sensor RH and side airbag sensor RH (for front side). Also disconnect the connectors that link the floor wire and front door wire RH.
(e) Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged.
OK:
The terminals are not deformed or damaged.
NG -- REPLACE WIRE HARNESS
OK -- Continue to next step.
32. CHECK FLOOR WIRE (OPEN)
(a) Using SST, connect terminals 4 (BCR+) and 3 (BCR-) of connector C.
NOTICE:
Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector when connecting.
SST : 09843-18040
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FLOOR WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.
33. CHECK FLOOR WIRE (SHORT)
(a) Disconnect SST from connector C.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FLOOR WIRE

34. CHECK FLOOR WIRE (SHORT TO B+)
(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE FLOOR WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.
35. CHECK FLOOR WIRE (SHORT TO GROUND)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FLOOR WIRE
OK -- Continue to next step.
36. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OPEN)
(a) Connect the connectors that link the floor wire and front door wire RH.
(b) Using SST, connect terminals 2 (BDR+) and 1 (BDR-) of connector E.
NOTICE:
Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector when connecting.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

37. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SHORT)
(a) Disconnect SST from connector E.

38. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SHORT TO B+)

39. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SHORT TO GROUND)

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

40. CHECK REAR AIRBAG SENSOR RH
(a) Connect the connector to the side airbag sensor RH (for rear side) and side airbag sensor RH (for front side).
(b) Interchange the rear airbag sensor LH with the rear airbag sensor RH and connect the connectors to them.
(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(d) Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(e) Clear the DTCs stored in the memory Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(f) Turn the ignition switch off.
(g) Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
(d) Disconnect the connectors from the rear airbag sensor RH and side airbag sensor RH (for front side). Also disconnect the connectors that link the floor wire and front door wire RH.
(e) Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged.
