DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a microphone voice signal from the telephone microphone assembly to the navigation receiver assembly.

It also supplies power from the navigation receiver assembly to the telephone microphone assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Voltage:





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(a) Disconnect the E4 navigation receiver assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the Q11 telephone microphone assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

4. INSPECT TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY

(a) Reconnect the E4 navigation receiver assembly connector.

(b) Reconnect the Q11 telephone microphone assembly connector.





(c) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

(d) Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 3 (MIC+) and 5 (MIC-) of the Q11 telephone microphone assembly connector.

(e) Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.
