DESCRIPTION
When the key is in the ignition key cylinder or the door courtesy light ON signal is input to the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block), performing the door lock operation with the lock switch does not lock the door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter the following menus:
Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) Select Key Unlock Warning SW in the Data List and read the tester display.
Main Body (Main Body ECU):
OK:
Techstream displays ON or OFF according to whether the key is in the ignition key cylinder.
NG -- INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SIDE DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter the following menus:
Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) Select D Door Courtesy SW in the Data List and read the tester display.
Main Body (Main Body ECU):
OK:
Techstream displays ON or OFF according to whether the driver side door is open or closed.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the driver side door courtesy light switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
5. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the unlock warning switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
