Key Cylinder Lamp: Testing and Inspection

LIGHTING: IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER (w/ Engine Immobiliser System)

(a) Connect the (+) lead from battery to the terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 6.





(b) Check that the ignition key cylinder light comes on.

OK:

The ignition key cylinder light comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the transponder key amplifier.

2. INSPECT KEY CYLINDER LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Immobiliser System)

(a) Connect the (+) lead from battery to the terminal 1 and the (-) lead to terminal 2.





(b) Check that the ignition key cylinder light comes on.

OK:

The ignition key cylinder light comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace key cylinder light assembly.
