INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

Result:

C -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Diagnosis System

B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Diagnosis System
A -- Continue to next step.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ELECTRICAL FAN)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Select the item below in the Active Test and then check that the fan operates.

Active Test / Air Conditioner:

OK:

Electrical fan operates smoothly.

NG -- GO TO COOLING FAN SYSTEM Cooling Fan Circuit
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE

(a) Install a manifold gauge set Refrigerant.

(b) Read the manifold gauge pressure when the following conditions are established.

(1) Prepare the vehicle according to the chart below.

Standard pressure:

Low pressure side
0.15 to 0.25 MPa (1.5 to 2.5 kgf/cm2, 21.3 to 35.6 psi)

High pressure side
1.37 to 1.57 MPa (14 to 16 kgf/cm2, 199 to 228 psi)

NG -- CHARGE REFRIGERANT Service and Repair
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTCs Air Conditioning System (for Manual Air Conditioning System).

(b) Prepare the vehicle according to the table below.

(c) Check for DTCs Air Conditioning System (for Manual Air Conditioning System).

Result:

NOTICE:
* This DTC may be set because the vehicle was operated in extremely high ambient temperature.
* When this DTC is set, the compressor will shut down to protect the inverter circuit from high temperatures.

B -- REPLACE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

A -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
