DESCRIPTION

If a hybrid vehicle control ECU that is incompatible with the engine immobiliser system is installed, the hybrid vehicle control ECU stores this DTC.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the hybrid vehicle control ECU is replaced, register the ECU communication ID Engine Immobiliser System (W/O Smart Key System).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Delete the DTCs Engine Immobiliser System (w/ Smart Key System).

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B279C-185 output does not recur.

NG -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU Removal

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
