11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATT FAN RELAY - BATT FAN FUSE)

(a) Remove the BATT FAN relay.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATT FAN RELAY - BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY [NO. 0])

CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.

NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.

(c) Remove the BATT FAN relay.

(d) Remove the battery cover Removal.

(e) Disconnect the O45 connector from the battery cooling blower assembly (No. 0).





(f) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATT FAN RELAY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)

(a) Remove the BATT FAN relay.

(b) Disconnect the A65 connector from the hybrid vehicle control ECU Removal.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

14. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the D72 connector from the hybrid vehicle control ECU Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Disconnect the D73 connector from the hybrid vehicle control ECU Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

16. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATT FAN RELAY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Remove the BATT FAN relay.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

17. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY [NO. 0] - BODY GROUND)

Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.

NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.

(c) Remove the battery cover Removal.

(d) Disconnect each of the 3 battery cooling blower assembly connectors.





(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

18. INSPECT BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.

NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.

(c) Remove the battery cover Removal.

(d) Disconnect each of the 3 battery cooling blower assembly connectors.





(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY (MALFUNCTIONING BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY)

OK -- REPLACE FUSE (BATT FAN)

19. REPLACE BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY (MALFUNCTIONING BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY)

(a) Replace the battery cooling blower assembly (malfunctioning battery cooling blower assembly) Removal.

NEXT -- REPLACE FUSE (BATT FAN)

20. REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

NEXT -- REPLACE FUSE (BATT FAN)

21. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 BATTERY PACK WIRE)

CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.

NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.

(c) Remove the battery cover Removal.

(d) Disconnect the Oz3 connector from the No. 2 battery pack wire.





(e) Disconnect the z21 connector from the battery smart unit.

(f) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
