APPLICABILITY:
INTRODUCTION:
Some 2011 - 2012 model year Highlander HV vehicles may exhibit a MIL "ON" condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P314A, information code 828 (Inverter Coolant Pump Speed Signal), stored in the Power Management Control ECU (HV ECU). Use the following repair procedure to address this
condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.

REQUIRED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Using TIS Techstream, confirm that Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P314A, information code 828 (Inverter Coolant Pump Speed Signal), is present.
2. If DTC P314A, information code 828, is present, check the INV W/P fuse for loose fitting in the Engine Room Relay Block No. 2.
Is the INV W/P fuse loose?
^ YES - Continue to step 3.
^ NO - This bulletin does NOT apply. Refer to the Repair Manual for continued diagnostics.

3. If the INV W/P fuse is loose, replace the Engine Room Relay Block No. 2.
CAUTION
Be sure to disconnect the 12V auxiliary battery prior to removing the pins from the Engine Room Relay Block No. 2.
4. Clear DTCs.
5. Test drive the vehicle to confirm the condition has been corrected.
