Power Source Mode Does Not Change
2GR-FXE STARTING: SMART KEY SYSTEM: Power Source Mode does not Change
- Power Source Mode does not Change
DESCRIPTION
When the power switch is pushed with the electrical key in the cabin, the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) receives signals to switch the power source mode.
HINT
To allow use of Techstream to inspect the push-button start function when the power switch is off, repeat opening and closing any of the doors. Opening and closing a door establishes communication between Techstream and the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block). (Opening and closing a door can also be simulated by operating a door courtesy light switch.)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SMART KEY SYSTEM
(a) Remove the battery of the electrical key transmitter Removal.
(b) Touch the logo side mark of the key or card key to the power switch.
(c) Check that the power switch can be turned on (IG).
Result:
D -- GO TO SMART KEY SYSTEM (ROOM OSCILLATOR DOES NOT RECOGNIZE KEY) Room Oscillator Does Not Recognize Key
C -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
B -- INSPECT IG1 RELAY
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT ACC RELAY
(a) Remove the ACC relay from the instrument panel junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE ACC RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
(a) Disconnect the D8 connector from the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block).
(b) Disconnect the 1I connector from the instrument panel junction block.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR, OR REPLACE IG2 FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG2 RELAY - BODY GROUND)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
(a) Disconnect the 1A connector from the instrument panel junction block.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR, OR REPLACE ALT FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the 1F connector from the instrument panel junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
