INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may deploy the pretensioner.
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the E41 seat belt control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
for LH
for RH
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
OK -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the E41 seat belt control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the K11*1 or L5*2 front seat outer belt connector.
HINT
* *1: for LH
* *2: for RH
(c) Using a service wire, connect K11-1*1 and K11-2*1 or L5-1*2 and L5-2*2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
for LH
for RH
Result
C -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
B -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
A -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Removal
