How to Proceed With Troubleshooting





NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: NAVIGATION SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the navigation system (for DVD).
* *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

(a) Inspect the battery voltage.

Standard Voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONING AND SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION

(a) Ask the customer about symptoms and confirm malfunctions.

4. OPERATION CHECK

(a) Refer to Check System Normal Condition Operation Check.

5. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Check for DTC output Diagnosis System.

6. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Description and Operation.

7. DTC CLEAR*

(a) Refer to the DTC Check/Clear Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

HINT
The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

8. RECHECK FOR DTC*

HINT
* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.
* If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Description and Operation.
* Check the DTC and inspect the area code indicates.

9. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

(a) Find the output code in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart Navigation System.

NOTICE:
* The navigation system outputs DTCs for the following system.
* When DTCs other than those in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the navigation system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the system.
* Audio and visual system (w/ navigation system) Audio and Visual System (w/ Navigation System)
* Rear seat entertainment system (w/ rear seat entertainment system) Rear Seat Entertainment System

11. CHECK ECU TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM

(a) Refer to Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.

(a) Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.
