DESCRIPTION
The indicator lights is built into the fold seat switch. This indicator light receives power from the fold seat control ECU. It comes on or blinks when the system detects that an object is caught or when the seat operation conditions are not met.

PROCEDURE
1. CONFIRM INDICATOR CIRCUIT
(a) Perform troubleshooting in accordance with the chart below.

B -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream ON.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door P/W / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
Back Door P/W
OK:
When back door courtesy switch operation is performed, the results are the same as above.
NG -- GO TO BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT Luggage Room Light Circuit
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT NO. 1 FOLD SEAT SWITCH
(a) Remove the No. 1 fold seat switch Removal.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the fold seat switch assembly illuminates.
OK:
LH Side
RH Side
NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 FOLD SEAT SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR ECU - NO. 1 FOLD SEAT SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the V2 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O27 or O28 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
LH Side
RH Side
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - NO. 1 FOLD SEAT SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the O34 or P20 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O27 or O28 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
LH Side
RH Side
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream ON.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
Main Body
OK:
When rear door courtesy light switch operation is performed, the results are the same as above.

OK -- Continue to next step.
7. INSPECT NO. 2 FOLD SEAT SWITCH
(a) Remove the No. 2 fold seat switch Removal.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the fold seat switch assembly illuminates.
OK:

NG -- REPLACE NO. 2 FOLD SEAT SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH - NO. 2 FOLD SEAT SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the O7 or P7 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the O26 or P12 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
LH Side
RH Side
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - NO. 2 FOLD SEAT SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the O34 or P20 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O26 or P12 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
