DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly receives seat heater switch position signals when the ignition switch ON, and then transmits airflow amount signals to each seat climate blower.

1. CHECK CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM OPERATION

(a) Check if the climate control seat system operates normally.

2. INSPECT FUSE (LH-IG, SEAT-HTR)

(a) Remove the LH-IG and SEAT-HTR fuses from the main body ECU.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- CHECK FOR SHORTS IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT HEATER SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the H47 and H49 switch connectors.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the X13 and W16 blower connectors.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the X13 blower connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(e) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

6. INSPECT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH

(a) Check the input signal waveform.

(1) Connect an oscilloscope to terminal X13-3 (SIGN) and body ground with the climate control blower connector still connected.

(2) Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.

OK:

The waveform is displayed as shown in the illustration.

(b) Disconnect the X13 blower connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT HEATER SWITCH LH)

(a) Disconnect the H47 switch connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH LH

(a) Remove the seat heater switch Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT HEATER SWITCH LH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT HEATER SWITCH LH - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)

(a) Disconnect the H67 amplifier connector.

(b) Disconnect the H47 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the W16 blower connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(2) Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.
