DESCRIPTION

When the volume of washer fluid decreases to below a certain level (when the washer fluid level warning switch is turned ON), the combination meter assembly warns the driver through the master warning light illumination and the warning message on the multi-information display*1, or the washer warning light illumination*2.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

OK:

On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

NG -- INSPECT WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

2. INSPECT WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the A31 washer fluid level warning switch connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) Reconnect the washer fluid level warning switch connector.

NG -- REPLACE WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH - COMBINATION METER)

(a) Disconnect the A31 washer fluid level warning switch connector.





(b) Disconnect the H37 combination meter connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Reconnect the washer fluid level warning switch connector.

(e) Reconnect the combination meter connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
