SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

2. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Driver Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the vertical adjuster handle cap.

3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjusting handle.

4. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB (for Driver Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the snap ring and vertical seat adjuster knob.

5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Lift the reclining adjuster release handle.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

6. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Lift the reclining adjuster release handle.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings and rubber bands of the seatback cover from the seat frame.

(b) Remove the 3 screws.

(c) Disengage the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then separate the front seat cushion shield.

(d) Separate the harness from the front seat cushion shield, disconnect the connector, and remove the front seat cushion shield.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings and rubber bands of the seatback cover from the seat frame.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Disengage the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the front seat cushion shield.

9. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH (for Driver Side) Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then separate the front seat cushion shield.

(c) Separate the harness form the front seat cushion shield and remove the front seat cushion shield.

11. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

13. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Driver Side)

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the 8 wire harness clamps.

(d) Disengage the wire harness clamp.

(e) Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.

(f) Disengage the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

14. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.

(d) Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.

(e) Disengage the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 10 hog rings and seat cushion cover.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(b) Disengage the hooks.

(d) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

17. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Lift the seatback cover and remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

(b) Lift the seatback cover and remove the 4 hog rings and seatback cover with pad.

18. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings and seatback cover wires.

(b) Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.

19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover.

20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the claw and remove the front seatback shield.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

(a) Disengage the wire harness clamp.

(b) Remove the screw.

(c) Disengage the claw and remove the front seatback shield.

23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion shield lower.

24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER RH

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

25. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) Removal

26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (for Driver Side)

27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors.

(b) Disengage the wire harness clamp and remove the front seat wire.
