DESCRIPTION
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
After replacing the stereo component tuner assembly of vehicle subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, registration of the XM radio ID is necessary.
HINT
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION
(a) Check that the satellite radio antenna cord sub-assembly is securely connected to the stereo component tuner assembly connector.
OK:
The cord is securely connected.
NG -- RECONNECT CONNECTOR CORRECTLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the satellite radio antenna assembly and stereo component tuner assembly connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open):
Standard Resistance (Check for Short):

NG -- REPLACE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the satellite radio antenna assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the stereo component tuner assembly with a normal one.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (w/o USB Audio System).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.

OK -- END
