DESCRIPTION
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
After replacing the radio receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, registration of the XM radio ID is necessary.
HINT
* After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.
* Refer to "PARTS LOCATION" for the installation location of antenna cord sub-assembly Locations.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION
(a) Check that the satellite radio antenna cord sub-assembly is securely connected to the radio receiver assembly connector.
OK:
Satellite radio antenna cord sub-assembly is securely connected.
NG -- RECONNECT CONNECTOR CORRECTLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. SYSTEM CHECK
(a) Check the vehicle specifications.
Result
B -- CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY AND NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY AND NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly (radio receiver assembly side) connector.
(b) Disconnect the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly (satellite antenna assembly side) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(Radio Receiver Assembly - Satellite Antenna Assembly)

OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the satellite radio antenna assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

OK -- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY Removal
5. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly (radio receiver assembly side) connector.
(b) Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly (satellite antenna assembly side) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(Radio Receiver Assembly - No. 2 Antenna Cord Sub-Assembly)

6. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY AND NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly (radio receiver assembly side) connector.
(b) Disconnect the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly (satellite antenna assembly side) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(Radio Receiver Assembly - Satellite Antenna Assembly)

7. INSPECT SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

8. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(b) Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly (satellite antenna assembly side) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
