Applicability

Introduction

Some 2011 Siennas equipped with a factory theft deterrent system may exhibit a condition where the security horn is inappropriately triggered when the vehicle has not been disturbed. A revised hood latch assembly (with internal component switch) has been made available to address this condition.

This TSB applies to all 2011 Sienna vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

Repair Procedure

1. Remove hood lock cable assembly.

NOTE

For all vehicles follow repair procedure for removal of the hood lock assembly "with Engine Hood Courtesy Switch".

2. Disconnect cable from the latch assembly but do NOT remove control cable from vehicle. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

3. Install NEW hood lock assembly. Refer to TIS applicable model and model year Repair Manual:
