INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the U2 television display assembly connector.





(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between 3 (VAR+) or 4 (VAL+) and 11 (VA-) according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VIDEO TERMINAL - TELEVISION DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the P3 video terminal connector.

(b) Disconnect the U2 television display assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE VIDEO TERMINAL Removal
