Applicability

Introduction





Some 2011 model year Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where a leak is noticed at the rear corner drains of the rear sliding roof assembly. This may be due to an insufficient amount of butyl sealer in the drain end caps. A new rear sliding roof housing sub-assembly has been developed to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

This bulletin ONLY applies to vehicles with dual sliding roof assemblies.

1. Water test the vehicle to confirm water leak from rear sliding roof housing sub-assembly near the drains.

A. Using a hose with no nozzle direct water flow onto rear sliding roof assembly.

B. Continue direct water flow for at least 5 minutes or until leak is present.

HINT

Do not use high pressure water to force a leak.

2. If leak is present replace the rear sliding roof housing sub-assembly.





Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

3. Confirm leak is no longer present in the area of the rear sliding roof housing.
