Removal





SEAT: AUTO ACCESS SEAT UNIT: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
* To prevent an incorrect DTC from being stored when performing an overhaul, before disconnecting the power supply, first enter EEPROM operation mode and initialize the position information Auto Access Seat System.
* When disconnecting the power supply, observe the necessary precautions Auto Access Seat System.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT TURN GUARD COVER Removal

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER RH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH BRACKET Removal

7. REMOVE RADIATOR SHUTTER Removal

8. REMOVE POWER LIFT MOTOR COVER Removal

9. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU BRACKET WITH ECU Removal

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH Removal

12. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LEG SIDE COVER

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clips.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear No. 2 seat leg side cover.

13. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SEAT LEG SIDE COVER

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 clips.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear No. 3 seat leg side cover.

14. REMOVE REAR SEAT LEG COVER

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the clip.





(b) Disengage the 3 guides and remove the rear seat leg cover.

15. REMOVE REAR SEAT LIFT UNIT

(a) Disconnect the No. 1 seat wire connector.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and remove the rear seat lift unit.

CAUTION:
As the rear seat lift unit is a very heavy component, it requires at least two people to remove it from the vehicle.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
