DESCRIPTION

Turning the power slide door main switch off (pushed in) prohibits power slide door control system operation.

The power slide door ECU monitors if the fuel lid is open via the fuel lid courtesy switch. When the power slide door motor is operating while the fuel lid is open, the slide door will not open fully.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (PSD MAIN SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Rear Right Door / Data List.

(e) Check if the switch is functioning properly.

OK:

When the switch is operation, the Techstream should display as shown in the display.

NG -- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR MAIN SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (PSD MAIN SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Rear Left Door / Data List.

(e) Check if the switch is functioning properly.

Rear Left Door (Power Slide Door ECU LH)





OK:

When the switch is operation, the Techstream should display as shown in the display.

NG -- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR HALF OPEN STOPPER CONTROL ASSEMBLY (FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Power Slide Door System

3. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR MAIN SWITCH

(a) Remove the power slide door main switch on the instrument panel Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE POWER SLIDE DOOR MAIN SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN SWITCH - POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU RH AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Remove the power slide door main switch on the instrument panel Removal.

(b) Disconnect the I8 power slide door ECU RH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDE DOOR MOTOR UNIT RH Removal

5. INSPECT SLIDE DOOR HALF OPEN STOPPER CONTROL ASSEMBLY (FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH)

(a) Remove the slide door half open stopper control assembly (fuel lid courtesy switch) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN SWITCH - POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU LH AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the J9 power slide door ECU LH connector.

(b) Remove the power slide door main switch Removal.

(c) Remove the slide door half open stopper Removal.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDE DOOR MOTOR UNIT LH Removal
