INTRODUCTION:
As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the "automatic open and close" and "jam protection" functions of the power sliding doors will be inoperative due to loss of the power sliding doors position Initialize the power sliding doors after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).
NOTE:
- Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, the power sliding doors may need to be re-initialized.
- If the short pin is installed with the power sliding doors fully closed, the initialization may not be required because the power sliding door position memory is still stored in the microcomputer.

Overview
INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE:
1. Manually close the power sliding doors, if open.
2. Check that the power sliding doors fully open and fully close.
A. Check that the power sliding door main switch is in the "ON" position.
B. Check that the power sliding doors fully open and fully close by pushing the power slide door satellite switch or transmitter switch or power slide control switch.
NOTE:
Jam protection function becomes effective through the above initialization procedure.
