Applicability

Introduction

Some 2011 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where the side garnishes for the front sliding roof may become loose or damaged during sliding roof operation. A new garnish has been designed to address this condition

Repair Procedure

The entire sliding roof housing does NOT need to be replaced. Only the garnish and the plastic holder should be changed.





1. Remove the LH & RH garnishes.

2. Unseat the bottom portion of the garnish and separate.

HINT

Use same procedure for both sides.

3. Open the sliding roof glass.

4. Remove the screw from the front of the garnish holder.

5. Slide the garnish holder off the track end.

6. Slide the NEW garnish holder onto the track and align it with the existing screw hole in track.





7. Replace the screw to the front of the holder.

8. Install the new garnishes.





9. Check to make sure the slot in the new garnish is correctly seated into the new holder with hook.

10. Operate the sliding roof to confirm proper operation.
