APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2011 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where the front or rear sliding roof becomes inoperative or jammed while trying to open/close. The sliding roof assembly has been improved to correct this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.

NOTE
Old side garnishes can NOT be used on the new front sliding roof subassembly. It is necessary to replace side garnishes with parts listed above when replacing front sliding roof housing.


REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Confirm front or rear sliding roof is inoperative. Replace the affected sliding roof assemblies by referring to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

Front Sliding Roof
2011 Sienna:
Vehicle Exterior - Sliding Roof/Convertible - "Sliding Roof Housing: Removal / Disassembly / Reassembly / Installation"

Rear Sliding Roof
2011 Sienna:

2. Confirm proper operation has been restored.
