B15D2 - DVD Player Disconnected
DESCRIPTION
The disc player assembly is connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.
The navigation receiver assembly is also connected to the disc player assembly by the AVC-LAN communication line.
These DTCs will be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the television display assembly and disc player assembly.
HINT
The navigation receiver assembly is the master unit.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Check for optional components.
(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
* This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

3. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (w/ USB Audio System).
(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISC PLAYER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the D70 disc player assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(b) Disconnect the U1 television assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - STEREO COMPONENT TUNER)
(a) Disconnect the U1 television display assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the L18 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)
(a) Disconnect the L20 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D67 multi-media interface ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - NAVIGATION RECEIVER)
(a) Disconnect the D66 multi-media interface ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the D59 navigation receiver assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the disc player assembly with a new one Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (w/ USB Audio System).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
OK -- END (DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY IS FAULTY)
10. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the television display assembly with a new one Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (w/ USB Audio System).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY

11. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the stereo component tuner assembly with a new one Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (w/ USB Audio System).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
OK -- END (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY IS FAULTY)
12. REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
(a) Replace the multi-media interface ECU with a new one Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (w/ USB Audio System).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
