B2255 - Slide Door Closer Switch LH Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a half latch switch ON signal and full latch switch OFF signal are sent to the ECU simultaneously due to a switch malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (POSITION SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Rear Left Door / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:

When the switch is operating, the Techstream should display as shown in the above table.

NG -- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (FULL LATCH SWITCH, HALF LATCH SWITCH)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDE DOOR MOTOR UNIT LH (POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU LH) Disassembly

2. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (FULL LATCH SWITCH, HALF LATCH SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the J11 power slide door lock assembly LH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

Half Latch Switch

Full Latch Switch









NG -- REPLACE POWER SLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK REAR DOOR WIRE LH (POWER SLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU LH)

(a) Disconnect the J8 power slide door ECU LH connector.

(b) Disconnect the J11 power slide door lock assembly LH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
