C1AED - Rear Sensor Communication Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. INSPECT CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)
(a) Disconnect the M4 No. 2 ultrasonic sensor LH connector.
(b) Disconnect the D77 clearance warning ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH - NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH)
(a) Disconnect the M3 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor LH and M4 No. 2 ultrasonic sensor LH connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH - NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH)
(a) Disconnect the M2 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor RH and M3 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor LH connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH - NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH)
(a) Disconnect the M1 No. 2 ultrasonic sensor RH and M2 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor RH connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

10. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH
(a) Replace the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor RH with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
