DESCRIPTION

* When the ECM detects a cruise control switch on signal from the cruise control switch, it sends it to the combination meter assembly through CAN communication. Then the cruise control SET indicator light turns on.

* The cruise control SET indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

(e) Check the cruise indicator light by performing the Active Test.

Combination Meter





OK:

Cruise control SET indicator light turns on/off.

NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Data List.

(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the Cruise control SET indicator light.

OK:

On screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
