- Cruise READY Indicator Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
* When the ECM detects a cruise control switch on signal from the cruise control switch, it sends it to the combination meter assembly through CAN communication. Then the cruise control READY indicator light turns on.
* The cruise control READY indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When the ECM is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed Removal.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the cruise READY indicator light by performing the Active Test.
Combination Meter
OK:
Cruise control READY indicator light turns on/off.
NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Data List.
(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the READY indicator light.
Radar Cruise
OK:
On screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
NG -- REPLACE ECM Removal
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
