Installation

AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE HUB: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR INNER AXLE BEARING RETAINER (for 2WD)

(a) Install the rear axle bearing retainer.

2. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the hub and bearing assembly LH with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 90 Nm (918 kgf-cm, 66 ft-lbf)

3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS Rear Axle Hub

4. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT Rear Axle Hub

5. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for 2WD)

(a) Connect the skid control sensor wire connector.





6. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

(a) Install the rear drive shaft to the axle carrier.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the boot and speed sensor rotor to the rear drive shaft and oil seal of the axle hub bearing.

7. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR (for AWD)

(a) Install the 2 bolts, connect the rear speed sensor LH.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
* Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the speed sensor.
* Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the sensor.

8. INSTALL REAR DISC Installation

9. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG Installation

10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear disc brake caliper assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 78 Nm (799 kgf-cm, 58 ft-lbf)

11. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT (for AWD)

12. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE AND PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments

13. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

14. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
